Let God lead...

‘God’s got it'

It’s a statement we say, sometimes flippantly, when we are facing challenges or unsure of the future but lately I have learned the truth of that statement.

Change is never easy whether you’re experiencing change or facilitating change.

Toby Mac shared a social media post recently that said ‘You don’t need to know where you’re going if you know God is leading.’

I am learning to live the truth of that statement! Our family moved from the UK to the USA in December 2019 and 3 months later Covid hit.

Trying to settle in a new country in the middle of a global pandemic with borders closed and restricted services is challenging and on top of that our church is also going through a leadership change.

Psalm 23 ‘HE leads … HE restores … HE ...’

When navigating change - we are NOT supposed to navigate it ourselves. Our navigator is the Holy Spirit!

Every day we make a choice who we allow to navigate the road ahead - will it be fear? Will it be pride? Will it be convenience?

It can be a lonely road BUT we need to hold on to the peace that God promises in Phil 4:6-7 (NLT) ‘Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.’

Allow the peace of God to guard your heart AND your mind. The enemy will try to sow anxiety, confusion, fear but remember that God goes before you, God is beside you, God has your back!

Proverbs 3:5-6 in The Message translation says ‘Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.’

TRUST…LISTEN…God will keep you on track, God will lead you through and when you reach the destination, the journey will be worth it!
