Let me introduce myself...
I was born and raised in Sydney Australia, the 5th of 6 children to Alan and Sue Wellington. I had a lot of opportunities growing up but didn’t find it easy to make friends. I was blessed to grow up in church and from a young age my faith became the foundation for my life choices.
My dream career while I was in High School was to go into christian ministry. My Dad gave me some great advice when considering what to do after graduation. He said that I would be more effective in ministry if I had some experience of life in the corporate world and could relate better to the people I wanted to serve, so I entered the workforce after graduation.
After spending a couple of years working full time, I attended Bible College where I met and married the love of my life, Paul Aylett.
Growing up in church, I found a safe place to grow and figure out who I was. I saw strength where there was weakness in my own life, I found encouragement when there was disappointment, I found purpose when I had no clue what to do. I found REAL in a world that is continually fake. I had permission to ask questions and wrestle with things that my mind couldn’t comprehend. I discovered that God is big enough for all my emotions. I found friends that believe I am better than I think I am and remind me that I’m not all that when my ego starts to take over.
Alongside church ministry I have been privileged to work in fundraising for several different Christian charities around the world - a perfect combination of my desire to serve God's church and utilise my corporate experience.
Through the changing season of my life; marriage, motherhood, ministry and career, I have experienced God’s faithfulness and discovered that my journey is not always just for me. In fact, Brene Brown sums it up perfectly; "One day you will tell your story of how you've overcome what you're going through now, and it will become part of someone else's survival guide"
Which leads to the reason for this website. I don't profess to be an expert on anything BUT I am passionate about Faith, Family, Friendship and Fundraising and I am inviting you to join me as we walk this journey called life!
Together let’s learn and discover new opportunities, encourage each other and walk each day with purpose, confidence and integrity!
